Rev. Dean 0. Warburton, an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ, presently serves as the Senior Minister of The First Congregational Church of Wallingford, CT. Founded in 1675, the congregation has over 1,000 members and 300 in its Church School program. Under his leadership, the congregation has purchased an office building "next door" and begun to develop a Family Life Center. A central focus of Rev. Warburton's ministry is "family wholeness and wellness."

Rev. Warburton served previously, for fifteen years, as the Executive Associate of the Stewardship Council of the United Church of Christ, where he was second-in- command for the denomination's stewardship ministries. At the Stewardship Council his work included leadership at workshops, retreats, and seminars, as well as preaching, teaching, and "hands on" fundraising.

A native of Pennsylvania, Rev. Warburton graduated from Franklin & Marshall College, Lancaster, PA in 1972. He received a Master of Divinity degree from Yale University Divinity School in 1977. While at Yale, his studies were concentrated in strategic planning, financial development, and program design for local churches.

Following his seminary training, Rev. Warburton returned to Pennsylvania and served as the Pastor of Cedar United Church of Christ in Allentown. He was active in the Penn Northeast Conference, serving on the Board of Directors and as Chairperson of the Budget and Finance Committee.

In addition to travel throughout the United States, Mexico, and the Caribbean, he has visited and studied in Europe and Japan. His interests include maintaining the Warburton Family Farm, 1794, located near Williamsport, PA; studying and collecting Native American rugs, pottery, and folk art; and outdoor sports. He is married to Kathleen Barry Warburton and has two adult children, Daniel, and Rachel.
